Event Log Summary

Event Date Event Type Comments
3/9/2015 11:53:00 AM General The Lostine River acclimation facility received the first group of BY2013 smolts at approximately 17:30 hours. The tag detection system for monitoring smolts leaving the ponds is non-operational. A number of failures occurred at the conclusion of the 2014 acclimation season and the equipment was deemed to old to fix. Volitional release for the first group of BY2013 smolts is set for March 21, 2015.
4/12/2014 8:11:00 AM General Volitional release for the second acclimated group of Lostine River Chinook began today. Screens were lifted in the morning.
4/10/2014 8:11:00 AM General Coil 12 (detects fish leaving ponds C & D) is not sending or receiving test tags. Trouble shooting indicates the problem is most likely with the transceiver. Fish leaving these ponds will still be recorded on coil 11.
3/21/2014 4:23:00 PM General Received an error message from personnel regarding coils 11 and 12. Coil 11 (error-problem overrun) and had fewer test tags received. Coil 12 (error- exciter power low). Also with fewer test tags received. This could be due to moisture/condensation in the coils, will require further trouble shooting at the end of acclimation. Will proceed with operations as they stand.
3/20/2014 4:23:00 PM General Performed stick test today, all coils are functioning. Coil 11 has a 5-7 minute delay.
3/11/2014 1:00:01 PM General Tested the Lostine River FS1001 transceiver system today using stick test tags. All coils are operational. Will test again before the volitional release begins.
3/6/2014 11:30:00 AM General Installed and tested LOP PIT tag interrogation system. Replaced modem nest, identified bad fiber optic cable, all systems are operational. Coils 01,02 and 12, send and receive commands. Coil 11 can send however it does not transmit a return command. This does not affect data collection.
5/3/2013 4:22:43 PM General All interrogation files created at LOP for 2012 were submitted via email and accepted for uploading to PTAGIS today.
4/24/2013 6:00:00 PM General LOP interrogaton equipment removed and stored for the season

4/16/2013 6:00:00 PM General stick test performed, 9 of 9 sticks read on coils 01 and 11, 8 of 9 sticks read on coils 02 and 12
4/8/2013 7:00:00 PM General The power supply backups failed during a power outage from 6am on April 6 to 6pm on April 8. Files LOP13097.A1 through LOP13098.D do not exist.

3/14/2013 12:00:00 PM General stopped and started LOP to replace the power supply backup, power outages causing problems
