The Columbia Basin PIT Tag Information System (PTAGIS) places a high priority on protecting your privacy. This privacy policy was created in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to the privacy of our members and website users. This policy explains what types of information is collected by our website, www.ptagis.org, and how this information is used.
What Personally Identifiable Information is Collected
PTAGIS users that register for an account on our website and individuals that sign up to receive the PTAGIS newsletter voluntarily provide us with contact information, such as name, e-mail address, and phone number. PTAGIS data contributors may be required to provide additional information which will be associated with their data.
We also collect some information automatically, such as when you registered for an account, the last time you logged in, information about the device and operating system used to access our website, your IP address, the website you came from, and the pages and features you use on our website.
Your Ability to Edit and Delete Your Account Information
If you create a PTAGIS account, you are able to use tools on our website to modify your personal information or completely delete your account. You may opt out of all email communications at any time, unless you are a data contributor, in which case you will continue to receive email related to your data that is stored in PTAGIS.

PTAGIS uses your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, to administer www.ptagis.org, and for statistical metrics used to track website visitor traffic.

Email Privacy
PTAGIS does not provide, sell, or rent email addresses to anyone outside the organization. Email addresses may be shared with a third-party service for the express purpose to send email messages to those who opt in to receive the PTAGIS Newsletter and other PTAGIS email communications. Our current email messaging provider is Mailchimp, and the Privacy for Contacts section of their privacy policy covers those who opt in to receive email communications from PTAGIS.
