Event Log Summary

Event Date Event Type Comments
8/4/2023 12:00:00 AM GMC

Site required additional zip ties for antenna cables and re armoring antennas with large cobble.  LAP operating continuously without disruption through August 8, 2023.

1/24/2023 12:00:00 AM SiteUp Lapwai Creek array (LAP) was re-installed and began collecting interrogation data January 24, 2023. LAP is a tandem array with one 20 ft. antenna and one 10 ft. antenna in each string that span the entire creek at base flows. An IS1001 Master Controller, Cloudgate cellular modem, air temperature probe, water temperature, and a pressure transducer probe monitoring environmental conditions. LAP is an AC direct power site with a four 115A batteries supplying power.
1/1/2022 12:00:00 AM SiteDown

Lapwai Creek PIT array (LAP) will not operate in 2022 due to funding issues.

6/22/2021 2:41:00 PM SiteDown

Lapwai Creek array (LAP) has been dismantled and removed from the site.  A replacement array will be installed at the same site in 2021.

1/21/2021 9:05:00 AM SiteUp Lapwai Cr. array (LAP) was overhauled in 2020-2021. The existing antennas sustained damage beyond repair and were removed. The new system consists of two 20 ft HDPE antennas that span the creek at base flows, IS1001 readers and a Master controller. Data collection started January 21,2021. LAP is now fully operational with the new configuration.
10/22/2020 9:54:00 AM General Correction: LAP initial major damage incorrectly reported as spring 2018 in recent PIT event log. Spring flows of 2019 are responsible.
10/20/2020 9:54:00 AM SiteDown LAP was heavily damaged during spring flows in 2018 ripping cables out of antennas and washing out antenna A6. A lack of operation and maintenance funding didn't allow for repairs. A 2020 assessment revealed further damage and irreparable wear to antenna fiberglass channels. All instream components were removed. This site has plans to install replacement antennas in late 2020 or early 2021. LAP is presently NOT collecting data as of October 20, 2020.
11/30/2017 8:26:21 AM General LAP array required no maintenance in 2017 and has run continuously without disruption through November 30, 2017.
11/16/2016 9:08:00 AM General Lapwai Creek array (LAP) is functioning and operational without disruption through 11/16/16.
10/29/2015 2:34:05 PM General Normal operations through summer 2015 with short intermittent down time in the fall due to issues with the MUX
9/23/2014 10:44:00 AM General Lapwai Creek (LAP) is functioning and operational without disruption through 9/23/14.
