PTAGIS Mark Data Coordinators and Projects
PTAGIS has been incrementally transitioning to linking MRR data to projects rather than individuals for a number of years, and yet another small step has recently been taken in the reporting system. Several coordinator attributes are being deprecated and replaced with project attributes. These changes require that users update any saved reports or subscriptions that filter on the coordinator attributes.

The tag mask validation process described in the June 2014 newsletter was implemented on August 20.

Data Load Notification Enhancements
Enhancements to the Tag Data Load (TDL) process were rolled out on June 19 and July 11, 2014. Most of the changes were designed to improve maintainability and efficiency of the process. However, data contributors will see that notifications emails have been improved, as well.

Tag Code Mask Validation History and Changes
Validation of PIT tag codes against a know tag code mask has been removed from PTAGIS field software to the server. Currently, when interrogation data is loaded, PIT tags are compared against a list of known tag masks and are labeled as Unknown if they do not match. Similar validation will be implemented for tagging data in May 2014.
