White Bird Creek is a tributary of the lower Salmon River, Idaho. The confluence of White Bird Creek is on the east side of the Salmon River at river kilometer 86 and about 5.8 miles in length and is a minor spawning area for the Snake River summer steelhead within the Little Salmon River steelhead population. The White Bird Creek interrogation site was installed as a temporary and seasonal site at river kilometer 2 to estimate steelhead abundance within the White Bird Creek spawning aggregate because an interrogation site downstream of the Little Salmon River capable of providing a population estimate for the population does not exist. Site removed May 2022.
