SAD - Salmon Creek Above OID Div.
Status: Active - OperationalGeneral Operational Period: Year Round
Start Date: 3/31/2022 12:00 AM
SAD (Salmon Creek Above OID Diversion) lies approximately 2 river kilometers upstream of the Okanogan Irrigation Diversion intake and is located on private property. Salmon Creek enters the Okanogan River in the town of Okanogan, WA at RKM 41.3, and has flow that is regulated at Conconully Dam. The interrogation site consists of two, 10 foot HDPE antennas installed in one row, in pass-over orientation that spans the wetted width at base flow. Both antennas are operated by a pair of 24 volt IS-1001 reader boards synced together within a Jobox. Power is delivered by a 300 watt solar panel and controlled by a Renogy solar charge controller which feeds a pair of 12-volt 100 Ah batteries connected in series. The site is currently without communications, and data is logged and downloaded via a pair of Biomark Bluetooth Data Loggers.
