The Vaseux Creek PIT tag array is installed 200m upstream from the confluence of Vaseux Creek and the Okanagan River. It comprises two arrays: upstream and downstream. The upstream array includes three 15 foot flat plate (or pass-over) antennas, while the downstream array consists of two 15 foot antennas. Each antenna is connected to an IS1001 node and managed by a Biomark MC. All equipment is housed in a residential area and powered by a DC supply. Vaseux Creek runs dry late summer through fall, with substantial inter-annual variability in flows.
