This is a permanent instream PIT tag interrogation site at rkm 1 located on lower Nason Creek. The site consists of two rows of antennas, with each row spanning the wetted width of the channel during base flows. All antennas are installed in flat-plate configuration. Site runs off grid power. The antennas were built and installed by WDFW. A cellular modem is installed on site to provide remote communication and allow for automated data collection. A submersible pressure transducer and temperature probes are installed on site to monitor environmental conditions.

Antenna 3 was plugged back in, had been unplugged since June 5th.

Battery bank failed at site on 9 May. Batteries were replaced and site restarted on 20 May.

Interrogation site NAL main power supply was restored on 05/04/2022.

Interrogation site NAL lost power on 11/13/2021. Grid power was shut off by PUD. Site was brought back online on 03/24/2022. Temporary battery swaps are being used to keep site running until grid power gets restored to site. Also on 03/24, Antenna #4 was plugged back in and secured.

Campground cut power to site and it is no longer running until power can be re-established. USFS has been contacted.

The Lower Nason Creek array lost power from 6-28-21 to 7-6-21. A site visit and troubleshooting attempt was made. Site ran until 7-7-21 then lost power again. Both banks of batteries had been damaged by extreme regional heat wave. Batteries were removed and a new bank was installed on 7-14-21 and the site is now performing well all antennas working at low noise.

7/19/2018 1:00:00 PM General At interrogations site NAL on 7/19/2018 at approximately 1:00 PM, Antennas #2 and #3 were brought back online. Broken antennas were replaced with HDPE antennas. All antennas at this site are functioning. Site is fully operational.
2/28/2018 1:00:00 PM General At interrogation site NAL on 2/28/2018 at approximately 1:00 PM, Antenna #1 was brought back online. Antenna #1 was damaged and had water inside, it was replaced with a 20 ft HDPE antenna. All antennas at this site are functioning and site it is fully operational.
7/26/2016 11:00:00 AM General At interrogation site NAL on 7/26/2016 at approximately 11:00 AM, Antenna #6 was replaced. A coax cable was changed on Antenna #1 to reduce excessive noise , and a dropped to tag was removed from antenna #2. All antennas are working and site is fully operational.
4/9/2016 10:47:00 AM General At interrogation site NAL, Antenna #6 lost current on 4/92016 at 10:47 AM, and is no longer operational.

7/25/2014 1:07:06 PM SiteUp Power was restored to interrogation site NAL on 7/25/14 at approximately 09:30.
7/22/2014 8:43:29 AM SiteDown The grid power at the site NAL is down currently. Tags were recorded up until approximately 10pm on 7/20/2014.
3/6/2014 12:30:00 PM SiteUp NAL powered up. Gird power is still out, batteries are being swapped out in order to operate the site until grid power can be restored.
12/31/2013 8:00:00 AM General NAL operated without interruption in 2013 until 11/14/13 when the site shutdown. Grid power at the site was lost and has yet to be restored as of 2/26/14.
12/13/2013 3:19:43 PM General At the interrogation site NAL grid power was lost for the site on 11-14-13 at 14:13. Site will be down until further notice due to wintertime conditions.
