MCR is a permanent instream PIT tag interrogation site located approximately 140 meters above Roosevelt Street bridge on Mill Creek, in Walla Walla, WA. The site consists of two rows of antennas, with each row nearly spanning the wetted width of the channel during base flows. Each row consists of two 20-foot HDPE antennas, installed in flat-plate configuration. Each antenna is powered by Biomark IS1001-MC. The antennas were built by WDFW and installed in collaboration with CTUIR. This site is powered by a four-panel solar system with four 115 ah batteries. MCR has remote communication abilities provided by a cellular modem.
