Status: Active - Non-OperationalGeneral Operational Period: Seasonally
Start Date:
COU is a seasonal instream PIT tag interrogation site located at RKM 001 on Couse Creek, a tributary of the Snake River. The site consists of two rows of antennas, with each row spanning the entire wetted channel at base flows. Each row consists of one 10-foot HDPE antenna installed in pass through configuration. Both antennas were built and installed by WDFW staff. Electrical power at the site is provided by a small (2-panel) solar installation. This site will operate without a cell modem and data will be manually downloaded by WDFW staff during periodic site visits during the annual operating period. No environmental monitors are installed at this time.
