The Site Connection is used to tell I5 how to connect to the transceivers or controllers at an interrogation site. I5 uses the information in the Specifications section to import the current site configuration for the selected interrogation site, which includes the transceiver/controller type and ID and the antenna groups and IDs. I5 needs to know the type of transceiver/controller so that it can send the correct commands to download from internal memory.
I5 can connect to any device through a serial port or through an internet connection. If a site or device is on a network (wired, cell or satellite) and can be connected to through an IP address, I5 can connect to it and download data remotely.
