Add Device with Ethernet Connection

 

 

Use this type of connection for devices, such as the Biomark IS1001, that support ethernet connections.

 

Click Add Connection from the Create/Edit Site Connection form.

Set the Connection Type to Network.

Enter the device IP Address and Port (Biomark devices have a default port of 10001).

In the Test Terminal, click the Connection to On and send a command to test the connection.

Click OK.

Connection Type

Select to configure a Network, Serial, or HPR USB connection here.

IP Address

Enter the IPv4 address of the device. See the device documentation for how to set or determine the IP address.

IP Port

Specify the port used to connect to the device. Biomark IS1001 readers and Master Controller have a default port of 10001.

Password

If connecting to a Master Controller that is password protected, enter the password here.

Test Terminal

Change the Connection switch to On to test that you can connect to device. To verify that you are connected, select and send a command and verify that the expected response shows up in the terminal below.
