Project Name:
Joseph Creek Adult Steelhead Escapement Monitoring
The Adult Steelhead Escapement Monitoring project is a status and trends monitoring project aimed to quantify the abundance of natural origin steelhead in Joseph Creek; establish a description of adult steelhead life history characteristics; and to establish the abundance of hatchery origin steelhead in these streams. Information is required under the FCRPS Biological opinion and will be used to inform adaptive management actions associated with hatchery operations, habitat restoration, harvest opportunities, and assessment of climate change effects in critical natural population areas. This project is highly integrated with Integrated Status and Effectiveness Monitoring Project (ISEMP).
