MRR Projects |
MRR Project codes are used to record the PTAGIS MRR project under which the data will be submitted. These project codes used to be known as Coordinator IDs, when each set of data was linked to an individual (the coordinator). In 2010, Coordinator IDs were transitioned to projects to better handle the longevity of the PTAGIS dataset. At that time they were called Tag Data Projects. With the release of P4 and implementation of the MRR data model, they have been renamed to MRR Projects. Each MRR Project has a coordinator - one individual who is ultimately responsible for the data quality and completeness. That coordinator can change over time, allowing for personnel to move on and maintain the continuity of the project.
An MRR project consists of a name and a short description of the scope and/or geographic area of PIT tag data collection. Its primary purpose at this time is as a link to a coordinator who can be contacted to provide context about the data.
In addition to coordinators changing over time, projects can be retired if they will no longer used to submit new data. The Active property of MRR Projects displays whether the project is considered active or not. If a project is not active, the Start Year and End Year properties display the calendar years during which it was active. You can view a list of all past and current Tag Data Projects and Coordinators on the Validation Codes page.
