EVENT LOG FOR SITE WSH The first line of each entry contains a date/time stamp & who is reporting. The most recent entry is listed first. Date Time Who ---------- ----- -------- 12/28/2010 11:22 David Warm Springs NFH decommisioned their adult ladder for the winter period on Dec. 3. Upstream migrating fish in the Warm Springs River are able to pass Warm Springs NFH by swimming through a diversion channel. During this time, PIT tagged fish will NOT be detected by the WSH adult ladder antenna array. The adult ladder is expected to be operational again in late January of 2011. 09/23/2010 08:01 David Warm Springs NFH will be replacing their entire electrical panel between 9/24/10 and 9/28/10. Back-up generators will be used to power critical pumps during this time, however power will be shut off to the MUX and antenna array during this time. There will be NO PIT DETECTION ability between 9/24/10 and 9/28/10. Adult fish movement through the antenna array has been minimal, with only whitefish and suckers passing through between 9/15 and 9/23. 08/27/2010 08:38 David 8/27/10 Power to MUX was off between approximately 12:30 on 8/20/10 to 12:30 on 8/26/10 (corrosion on electrical receptacle). Antennas were NOT DETECTING during this period, although interrogation files were being upload (power to computer was still on, interrogation files were "empty"). Problem fixed at 12:39 on 8/26/10. Site is now fully operational. 08/16/2010 13:25 David 08/16/10 Antenna array at WSH continues to operate with no known problems. Hatchery continues to trap all upstream migrating fish in catch ponds. Hatchery fish are culled out and wild (unmarked) fish are passed upstream of the hatchery. Several PIT tagged mini-jacks have been detected swimming through ladder over several days. Mini-jacks can swim in and out of hatchery catch ponds (weir and bars allow smaller fish through). 03/26/2010 10:56 David 03/12/10-Antenna 2 noise level high. Water found in antenna. Antenna still detecting (compared detections from antenna 1 to antenna 2 to verify) adult fish, however antenna removed and a temporary antenna installed. 03/12/10-Communication between MUX and computer terminated ("send tag codes to comm 1" automatically turned off for some unknown reason, appears to be a MUX issue). Files uploaded to PTAGIS between 11:17 on March 12 and 14:24 on March 24 are empty. 03/24/10-buffered data was downloaded from MUX and uploaded to PTAGIS on March 26 to replace "empty" files between March 12 and March 24. No data gaps should exist. 03/25/10-A new antenna 2 put into ladder. Still has high noise but read range is fantastic. Issue of DNS problems on FWS server have caused upload problems to PTAGIS, however files ARE eventually uploaded to PTAGIS. A fix is being investigated. CTWSRO and Oregon RFID did site visit to determine noise associated with installing 1/2 duplex antenna in another location at hatchery. Noise tests did not show problems for full duplex antenna system when 1/2 duplex was turned on, however full duplex system interfered with 1/2 duplex antenna read range. Tribes will further investigate feasibility of installing 1/2 duplex antenna with agreement that full duplex system will not be compro- mised. 02/22/2010 14:33 David 02/19/10 - Antenna 2 has had high noise for several weeks, test tag and several fish still detected so antenna still functioning. Kurt Steinke (AFTC) ran diagnostics, possible corroded capacitor connections. Starting on 2/20, timer tag no longer being recorded, also noise levels were very high and constant. Will investigate problems. 01/01/2010 00:00 PTOC_Bot Annual log file initiation for WSH #### End of Event Log for WSH ###
