I was at the site at 11:00 on 12/14/06 and shut down power to ant 5. Antenna 1 was still functional. Data collection was interrupted briefly. Ian 12/11/2006 16:35 Alan Manually pushed RCX06345.E1 to PTAGIS via PCA. 11/15/2006 08:39 Jezorek I was at RCX on 10/13/06 to do some read range testing and antenna cleaning. Data collection was suspended for about 5 minutes from 12:55 to 13:00. Ian 10/25/2006 08:08 Alan_Bro This is being reposted as the original posting yesterday didn't make it to the event logs: All primary data collection computers auto upload functions were re-engaged at 12:43 PST. Delinquent files were not manually pushed to PTAGIS. The uploader will submit files in the next 3 hrs. 10/24/2006 09:45 Alan_Bro Automated file loading has been disabled. 10/20/2006 11:10 Alan_Bro Site has been verified online. Will monitor for 13:00 load. -----Original Message----- From: pittag@psmfc.org [mailto:pittag@psmfc.org] Sent: Friday, October 20, 2006 10:15 AM To: Ian_Jezorek@usgs.gov; sitemaint@psmfc.org Subject: Problems with remote data sites... Will monitor for 13:00 load. 10/04/2006 08:08 Alan Improper DNS entries were the problem with communications. Manually pushed RCX06276.D1, RCX06276.E1, RCX06276.F1, RCX06276.G1, RCX06276.H1, RCX06277.A1 and RCX06277.B1 to PTAGIS via PCA. 10/03/2006 16:36 Alan Both PRO & RCX have been verified as collecting data. Apparently a comms issue is occurring. PTAGIS Field Operations is working on a solution. 09/27/2006 16:20 Scott_Li For unknown reasons, communications to the platform was lost for 220 seconds. File load stats indicate no gap in the data files. See Big Brother alert below. RCX-pc1.conn red Tue Sep 26 20:01:06 PDT 2006 ERROR: Can't connect to 71.0.52.66 PING 71.0.52.66 (71.0.52.66) 56(84) bytes of data. RCX-pc1.conn recovered Tue Sep 26 20:04:46 2006 Problem has been resolved after 220 seconds 07/20/2006 07:54 Alan_Bro The Clock on the interrogation computer had slipped ~15 minutes ahead atomic time. It was reset to within one second of atomic time at ~06:50 PST 7/20/2006 via PCA. The computer was verified as being set to maintain standard time (ignore daylight savings time). 04/10/2006 14:32 Ian On 4/10/06 Ian Jezorek was at the site for some range testing. Data collec- tion was interrupted from about 11:45 - 12:45. 04/07/2006 15:32 Ian Ian Jezorek was at the site from about 12:30 to 14:30 on 4/7/06. Data collec- tion was interrupted during this period. 04/06/2006 14:39 Ian Ian Jezorek and Kyle Martens were at RCX and redeployed antennas #1 and #5. Data collection started at about 12:30. 04/04/2006 10:20 Dave I enabled site-checking. 01/20/2006 08:57 Alan_Bro The platform was shutdown on 1/18/2006. It will be re-instantiated when data collection resumes. 01/17/2006 16:48 Dave I disabled site-checking for RCX until the site is repaired. This is necessary to prevent an accumulation of unnecessary alerts in the RCX SiteScape Events forum. 01/17/2006 08:19 Scott_Li Minimon was restarted this morning in order to monitor the sites loads and DSL activity. Ian J requested that the interrogation software not be engaged during the time that the site is not active. Per conversation last week, the MUX transceiver is not in operation due to high water and blown out antennas. Ian will contact PTOC when the site is back online. We should have record in the PTAGIS data set as to the last interrogation record prior to the site being taken offline. Will obtain that information and post to event log. 01/12/2006 13:30 Jezorek Jan 12 Flood Report: Rattlesnake Creek is huge. The system is shut down. I stopped data collection at 10:57 on Jan 12. Antenna 6 was blown out on 12/31/05, antenna 4 had the cable pulled on 1/4/06 and was not operating, the remaining antennas stopped reading during the morning of 1/10/06, approximate times were: Ant 1 at 0400, Ant 3 at 0500, Ant 2 at 0700 and Ant 5 at 0800. It appears that Ant 5 was ripped free of the anchors, the status of the others is unknown at this time and it's still raining hard. I'll provide updates as more is known. 01/04/2006 14:05 Scott_Li PCA'd to site responding to the Failed to upload message. Appears that Ian may have been working on the platform as per his recent PIT event that may have hindered the upload. Manually uploaded the .D file to PTAGIS, no problems to report. 01/04/2006 13:22 Jezorek I was at the site on 1/4/06 to investigate the potential loss of antenna 6, which had begun showing 0A at 1300hrs on 12/31/05. The antenna has pulled it's anchors out of the rock and lodged slightly downstream. We will have to wait for lower water to redeploy. Also when clearing debris from antenna 4 the cable was pulled out, the water is too high to reconnect. Data collection was suspended on 1/4/06 from 0950 - 1150hrs. Currently antennas 1,2,3, and 5 are the only operating antennas. 01/01/2006 12:40 PTOC_Bot Annual log file initiation for RCX #### End of Event Log for RCX ###
