Either the UPS is faulty, needs charged, or is faulty. According to the instructions, it is ready to use rite out out the box even if the battery is not charged. Could not keep the UPS on, kept dying and beeping error codes. For the time being, plugged PLC panel directly into the AC outlet specified for UPS use. This should not be an issue as the PLC panel has at least a surge suppressor inside the cabinet. Will note contractor and TAG (The Automation Group) of the configuration. Talked with TAG this morning and they dont know why its even in there. The OEM UPS came from the MFG along with the pre assembled cabinet. Noise on the transcievers are now at 3 % accross all 3 transceivers. 02/01/2012 07:36 darren@b 01:VTTFailed,02:VTTFailed,03:VTTFailed: PSMFC was able to verify another noise source and is addressing the problem. We are working with the engineers and the contractor to find a solution. 01/31/2012 11:39 scottl Verified that there is no data to patch date set from 12019.f to 12022.a nor 12022.b1 122023.a1. These gaps were caused by power outage during the storm that week. The noise source observed on the transceivers is being caused by a UPS in the Comms room next to the PIT room. Do to the wiring scheme, the UPS cannot be unplugged without shutting down the PLC. The obvious fix is to replace the UPS with a true sine wave unit. Noise levels went from 50 % down to 10 while the UPS is unplugged from the wall. 01/31/2012 07:39 darren@b 01:VTTFailed,02:VTTFailed,03:VTTFailed: This alarm is being addressed today by PSMFC personnel. 01/30/2012 07:22 scottl@b 01:VTTFailed,02:TunCapHigh,02:TunRangeOut,02:TuningFailed,02:VTTFailed,03: VTTFailed: These alarms will be addressed on the next site visit scheduled for 1/31 01/29/2012 08:49 rclark@b 01:VTTFailed,02:TunCapHigh,02:TunRangeOut,02:TuningFailed,02:VTTFailed,03: VTTFailed: High noise level at site due to VFD's. 01/28/2012 08:35 rclark@b 01:VTTFailed,02:VTTFailed,03:NoSync,03:RdrToMaster,03:VTTFailed: Known noise issue, 01/27/2012 07:56 Rclark@b 01:VTTFailed,02:VTTFailed,03:VTTFailed: The noise level has increased on all 3 transceivers.
