EVENT LOG FOR SITE JOC The first line of each entry contains a date/time stamp & who is reporting. The most recent entry is listed first. Date Time Who ---------- ----- -------- 12/13/2011 09:50 Cameron The thermo electric generator (TEG) regulator at Joseph Creek (JOC) PIT tag array was removed and cleaned on August 10, 2011. The system was shut down during maintenance resulting in 3 hours of downtime with the loss of the diagnostic report send (DRS) and tag observation data. The JOC TEG and propane tank is adjacent to black berry bushes and will require annual application of herbicide each spring to reduce fire risk and maintain access to the equipment. 01/24/2011 10:31 Rick The JOC site became operational on October 14, 2010. **The in-stream detection system consists of a tandem array located in Joseph Creek, which is a small tributary to the Grande Ronde River, located approximately 7 km upstream of the confluence to the Snake River. The array is located at river km 3 (N 46.030016, W -117.016042) in Joseph Creek and consists of two arrays , deployed serially 10 m apart, of three 20 ft Biomark flat panel antennas (down stream) and two 20 ft Biomark flat panel antennas (upstream), respectively. Both arrays span the entire stream width. JOC is operated by the Integrated Status and Effectiveness Project (ISEMP) cooperators Nez Perce Tribe and Quantitative Consultants, Inc. and was installed for continuous monitoring on October 15, 2010. The array includes ISEMP standard site monitoring equipment including air and water temperature probes, and a water pressure transducer to monitor stream level.Electrical power is provided by a thermal electric generator and remote communication provided by a satellite modem. The satellite modem communication system allows two-way data transfer. Data (system diagnostic information, PIT tag observations, and site environmental conditions) are uploaded automatically every two hours from the site to the ISEMP PIT ARRAY server in Boise, ID. Daily interrogation files are sent automatically to PTAGIS following PTAGIS file standards. -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- - Rick Orme Nez Perce Tribe Dept.
