The IR3 array has a satellite modem communication system that allows two-way data transfer. Data (system diagnostic information, PIT tag observations, and site environmental conditions) are uploaded automatically every two hours from the sites to the ISEMP PIT Array Server in Boise, ID. Daily interrogation files are sent automatically to PTAGIS following PTAGIS file standards. Site conditions and equipment performance are continuously monitored by ISEMP staff at NPT and Quantitative Consultants, Inc.
