EVENT LOG FOR SITE ESS The first line of each entry contains a date/time stamp & who is reporting. The most recent entry is listed first. Date Time Who ---------- ----- -------- 10/11/2010 12:44 Rick On 9/28/10, both transceivers were updated to ver. 2.1. Pressure transducers were installed at each array on 9/29/10. In the near future, air temperature probes will be installed at each site. No other changes were made. The system continues to operate normally. 09/27/2010 08:34 Rick The transceiver at ESS B0 stopped sending tag information to the data logger from 9/15/10 at 12:36:58 to 9/24/10 at 11:57:08. During this time, status information (DRS file) was being sent to the data logger which showed normal current and noise levels on all antennas. A remote reset of the transceiver was executed which fixed the glitch. A buffer download was also executed which also showed not tag information during the specified time period. 07/27/2010 14:28 Rick ESS A0 and B0 continues to operate normally. No changes have been made since the last log entry. ESS B0 operations were disrupted on 7-23-10 at 16:30 through 19:30 for maintenance on the power supply. 03/02/2010 13:14 PTOC_Bot Invalid detections in the 'ESS10047.ALL' data file were programmatically recast as comments, as requested by Dave Marvin (Dave.Marvin@ptagis.org). 03/02/2010 09:41 Rick Site maintenance was preformed on ESS B0 on February 16 and on A0 on February 18, 2010. New CR1000 data logger software was installed, and both sites were re-tunned. Both sites were inoperable for a period of two hours during maintenance. 01/08/2010 13:48 Rick A faulty mux at ESS B0 was replaced on 12/14/09. The faulty mux resulted in intermittent operations during early December and complete failure from 12/06 through 12/12/09. ESS A0 was operating normally during this time period. During site maintenance, both A0 and B0 were re-tuned. At A0, the VTT level was inadvertently left at a setting of 80, resulting in few test tags currently being recorded. The vtt level will be adjusted during the next site visit. However, the vtt level has no effect on the ability of the site to detect actual PIT tags. The new mux at B0 displayed the same issues observed with the old mux in that zero current was being sent to the antennas from 12/26 through 12/27/09 (40 hours) but has since returned to normal operations. Interrogation file ESS10004.all was submitted to PTAGIS with errors on 01/08/10. The file was recast and a new corrected file submitted. Rick Orme Nez Perce Tribe Dept. Fisheries Resources 125 S.
