EVENT LOG FOR SITE ENL Most recent activity to be listed first. First line of each entry lists date, time and who is reporting. Subsequent lines of each entry aligned under Time column. Do not use tabs, only spaces. Date Time Who What ---------- ----- -------- ----------------------------------------------- 11/06/2009 09:04 -_Tom 11/4/2009 - Gabriel Brooks from NOAAs electronic tech. shop assisted in fine tuning antennas and troubleshooting noise issues. Fine tuning resulted in increased noise for all antennas (20 - 50%). Will be installing a DC to DC converter and potentially rewiring batteries and components in order to reduce noise levels. 10/16/2009 06:30 -_Tom 10/5/2009 - All readings within normal parameters. 10/9/2009 - Elevated noise readings on antenna #5 and #6 (about 30% when normally 10%). 10/15/2009 - Anchors added in order to change antenna configuration from hybrid to flat-plate. Array is now configured as a flat-plate orientation. 09/29/2009 10:12 Tom 09/17/2009 - Enabled virtual tag timer at 15:54. Timer set to record at 60 minute intervals. 09/29/2009 10:10 Tom 08/18/2009 - Noise levels on antenna #5 elevated (20-30%). All other antennas recording 'normal' noise levels (0-12%). 08/20/2009 - Noise levels elevated on all antennas (20 -50%). 08/28/2009 - Noise levels for all antennas returned to 'normal' levels (0-12%). 08/29/2009 - 'Resident' fish has been detected at site multiple times beginning on 08/05/2009. Believed to be a live fish and not a loose tag due to being detected on muliple antennas. Most likely has not affected detection efficiency during this period. 07/09/2009 14:57 Tom 10/25/2007 - Site activated and operational. 04/16/2008 at 12:38 to 04/18/2008 at 21:00 - Data lost due to buffer overload. Reset unique delay parameters. 04/23/2008 to 11/5/2008 - Noise levels elevated for all antennae. Previously recorded between 8 and 15 percent but currently fluctuating between 40 and 90%. 05/19/2008 - Elevated river discharge resulted in the loss of operation to antennae #3, #4, #5, and #6. 05/20/2008 - Elevated river discharge resulted in the loss of operation to antenna #2. 05/25/2008 - Elevated river discharge resulted in the loss of operation to antenna #1. No antennas left operational at site. 07/24/2008 - Antennae #1-6 replaced with double strapping. Site fully operational with noise levels fluctuating between 65 and 90 percent for all antennae. 09/08/2008 at 04:18 to 09/24/2008 at 13:49 - Data gap caused by mux board failure. Board replaced. 11/05/2008 - Elevated noise levels determined to be caused by power supply (grid) related issues. Battery charger relocated away from mux. Noise levels dropped to below 15% on average for all antennae. 01/07/2009 - Antennae #1-6 not operational due to high flow/debris caused by ice dam breaking within the Mad River. 03/07/2009 - Antennae 1-6 replaced. Site fully operational. 05/19/2009 - Antennae #5 and 6 not operational due to elevated flows. 05/26/2009 - Antennae #1, 2, 3, and 4 not operational due to elevated flows. Site not operating. 07/09/2009 - Site reinstalled and all antennae operational. 06/16/2009 14:54 Dave Information for activities prior to 2009, if available, will be reported in the 2009 event log. ####End of Event Log for ENL###
