The enclosure and the TEG are located within a large patch of black berry bushes. The black berry bushes were trimmed and removed to make room for the equipment. As such, the area will need to be sprayed with a herbicide annually in the spring to reduce fire risk and maintain access to the equipment. 04/04/2011 09:19 Rick The Cow Creek array (COC) is located at 0.5 km upstream of the confluence with the Imnaha River (N 45.76774, W -116.744037) and consists of two arrays , deployed serially 10 m apart, of one 20 ft Biomark flat panel antenna each.COC is operated by the Integrated Status and Effectiveness Project (ISEMP) cooperators Nez Perce Tribe and Quantitative Consultants, Inc. and was installed for continuous monitoring on January 12, 2011 and became operational on February 15, 2011. . The array includes ISEMP standard site monitoring equipment including air and water temperature probes, and a water pressure transducer to monitor stream level.Electrical power is provided by a thermal electric generator and remote communication provided by a satellite modem. The COC array has a satellite modem communication system that allows two-way data transfer. Data (system diagnostic information, PIT tag observations, and site environmental conditions) are uploaded automatically every two hours from the site to the ISEMP PIT ARRAY server in Boise, ID. Daily interrogation files are sent automatically to PTAGIS following PTAGIS file standards. Site conditions and equipment performance are continuously monitored by ISEMP staff at NPT and Quantitative Consultants, Inc. (QCI).The data collection system allows for two-way communication between staff and site equipment.Site status and conditions are monitored continuously using a website. In the event of change of equipment performance or failure, automated email alerts are sent to the Technical Point of Contact, Data Steward, and other QCI and NPT staff. -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- - Rick Orme Nez Perce Tribe Dept.
