EVENT LOG FOR SITE CFJ The first line of each entry contains a date/time stamp & who is reporting. The most recent entry is listed first. Date Time Who ---------- ----- -------- 12/20/2009 08:30 Troy There was a zip file in the temp directory. I had to shut Minimon down in order to move the zip file. No data was lost as site is de-watered. 11/23/2009 10:18 Don_Warf DLW email test _____________________________________________ From: Don Warf Sent: Monday, November 23, 2009 9:26 AM To: 'pitevent@psmfc.org'; 'pitevent@ptagis.org' Subject: gra,grj,goj,rpj,lmj,ich,mcj,mc1,mc2,jdj,pro,esj,jcj,cfj,bcc,bo1,bo2,bo3,b2 j,rzf Email test 11/23/2009 09:39 Troy_Hum Email Test from Troy 10/30/2009 12:17 scottl Changed the Sonicwall IP addressing as required, verified VPN tunnel is up. Fortunately the connection was good therefore was able to RDP to catfish from PC2 and PCA into CFJ-PC1 to verify PCA access. Ran a ping from Catfish to CFJ-PC1 and average ping times were 650 to 800 mS. 07/09/2009 08:44 Alan Manually pushed CFJ09188.G1 through CFJ09190.C1 to PTAGIS via PCA. MiniMon was exited briefly to facilitate deleting a persistent zip file. The file gap is inconsequential as the site is down for the season. "Save acknowledgment file" was deselected in the upload options. 06/09/2009 16:27 Scott_Li Changed Hobbit to reflect the new Modem IP address. 06/09/2009 14:45 Darren I was on site today to change the polarity of the satellite from to horizontal to vertical to try and alleviate the the intermitten connection that was a problem for most of the season. The TZ-180 settings were changed but we need to renegoiate the tunnel to get the connection to Portland. 06/01/2009 15:10 Darren PSMFC was on site to day to check the voltage levels at the satellite dish and to install a new ODU (OutDoor Unit) transmitter to try and alleviate the intermitten connection with the skyedge modem that we have been experiencing since March. The site is cuurently not operational but we are trying to solve the comms issues while no one is at the site. 05/28/2009 10:29 Alan Submitted gap file CFJ09134.H9 via email. This includes 13 detections observed on 5/14/2009. 05/26/2009 12:51 Darren The site was visited to try and troubleshoot Sat Comms problems. We replaced the LNB and reattached the modem to the VPN. The modem is also now back on UPS power. We will monitor the site for connection. Also Starband has turned off the RPA (HTTP accelorator). 05/21/2009 10:01 Dave I flagged pond operations as completed as of 5/18/09 in the ptagis3.obs_site_dates table. I was going to change site notification to 'ptoc_ken' only in etc/sites, but discovered it had been configured that way all season. 05/17/2009 09:02 Darren The outstanding files were uploaded via PCA this morning. I believe there is a .zip file in the Temp directory but my connection in is no very good. I will delete the file tomorrow from the office. There are very few if any fish at this facility. 05/16/2009 08:51 Darren PSMFC was informed on Friday by Charlie Strom that all the fish were pushed out of the raceways. the process started in the morning at all three locations. The pumps are still running and there are some residual fish remaining in the creek. This fish will be removed sometime next week. 05/16/2009 08:43 Darren All outstanding files were submitted manually via PCA. 05/15/2009 08:22 troy@bay B1:TestTagFailure: Noted 05/14/2009 15:10 Troy I contacted Starband and request a modem reset. The tech stated that they saw the modem up and active even though hobbit showed it down. The submitted the reset command anyways and now hobbit is green. 05/14/2009 09:54 Darren PSMFC has been experiencing some intermitten issues with the satellite modem at this location. I was able to contact Starband technical support and have them reboot the modem this morning. The site had not sent files since Tuesday morning because of a compressed zip file in the "temp" directory. I attemted to delete this file but Minimon still had some hooks in it. I had to stop the application and restart it to remove the hooks, this was quite a process because of the connection from the satellite. I was able to finally get the delinquent files to PTAGIS but there may be a file gap which we will have to manually retrieve and patch. The site is in the process of pushing all the remaining fish from the raceways which should be completed tomorrow. 05/12/2009 08:20 Alan Manually pushed CFJ09131.G1 - CFJ09132.B1 to PTAGIS via PCA. 04/28/2009 14:52 scottl Performed site GMC's all transicevers were retuned and calibrated as necessary, no problems to report. CFJ: Replaced the Sat modem in order to correct the on and off line problems of recent past. Will monitor. 04/23/2009 08:52 darren@b B1:TestTagFailure: Alarm was corrected during a site GMC. 04/21/2009 09:02 Dave The timer tag list was refreshed to include the new tag at antenna B1. 04/20/2009 12:37 Alan Addendum to the previous pitevent: 15 sticks were thrown into each monitor. All sticks were seen by all transceivers. 04/20/2009 11:14 Alan A GMC was performed 4/20/2009. All transceivers were checked and tuned as necessary. The timer tag was replaced on antenna B1. The new timer tag code for B1 is: 3D9.0EEEEEE241 The clocks on both PCs (PC1 ~2 min slow, PC2 ~3min slow) were set to within one second of atomic time. No other problems found. 04/13/2009 08:05 scottl@b B1:TestTagFailure: Problem will be addressed on the next scheduled site GMC 04/12/2009 08:02 alan@bay B1:TestTagFailure: The timer tag appears to have failed. This transceiver is reading PIT Tags at a high efficiency. 04/11/2009 10:01 alan@bay B1:TestTagFailure: The timer tag appears to have failed. This transceiver is reading PIT Tags at a high efficiency. 03/30/2009 08:33 Troy Manually pushed the delinquent file. 03/28/2009 13:23 Darren I was not able to PCA into sight after checking to see if the 10:00 load was successful. I contacted site personnel and verified that the PC's were collecting data. I also verified that the proper LED's were illuminated on the Starband modem. I had Jackson reset the modem and then I was able to get into the site via PCA. I upload the outstanding 3 files to PTAGIS. 03/16/2009 08:13 Darren According to Charlie Strom, The screens will be removed today for the start of the volitional release. 02/18/2009 10:55 Troy Arrived at site, opened shield enclosures and pumped out ~1.5 inches of water out of the B enclosure and none out of the A enclosure. Shot the fiber in both directions and found fiber 5 of bundle 2 (B side fiber) to be bad. Put the primary PC on the new Ckt 33. Threw 10 sticks on each side. The report tool is still not operable in version 1.5.0 so the counts were manually counted and all sticks were seen on all coils. No other problems to report, the platform was wiped down. Confirmed with site personnel that the leakers were from raceways 5 and 6 and the leaks were shored up. 02/09/2009 07:40 Scott_Li Manually pushed data files, deleted the .zip and all .ack files. 01/26/2009 09:20 PTOC_Bot PSMFC was notfied by Charlie Strom that fish were delivered to the site starting on 1-21-09. There were two ponds populated with the remaining ponds populated on 1-22-09. The volitional release boards are not scheduled to be removed until mid march. 01/07/2009 10:04 Darren_C I was able to access the PC's via PCA but the connection does not appear to be very stable. I transferred 9 outstanding files to PTAGIS. PSMFC will watch the satellite connection to see if it stabilizes over time. Before I could send the files I had to stop Minimon and delete a compressed ZIP file before the files could be uploaded. Darren R.
