EVENT LOG FOR SITE CFJ Most recent activity to be listed first. First line of each entry lists date, time and who is reporting. Subsequent lines of each entry aligned under Time column. Do not use tabs, only spaces. Date Time Who What ---------- ----- -------- ----------------------------------------------- 11/22/2004 10:18 Darren I just spoke with Charlie Strom from the Cle Elum Hatchery and he informed that they have tenttativelyScheduled the week of Dec 27th for starting the generators and bringing the facility to full power. They will also be bringing ESJ and CFJ online as well. 08/26/2004 09:07 Scott_Li Data files from these sites have not been uploaded since Day 231.b(esj) and 231.h (cfj) Verified that long distance carrier and ISP was active, also used about time to ping PC1 at both sites. The primary computers have a heartbeat but unsure of the health.. Sites are inactive and will correct situation when PTAGIS personnel are in the area. 08/20/2004 09:35 troy These sites have not submitted data since August 18th. I call the hatchery to ensure that power was up at each site and was told that it is. I attempted to PCA into PC1 of each site and was unsuccessful. I was successful in connecting to PC2 of each site and verified that all the transceivers are up and running. PC1 may be down at each site or there may be an issue with the phone lines to each PC. More later... 06/17/2004 11:25 Dave Since CFJ and ESJ will continue to submit data files even though the facilities are decommissioned, I've re-instantiated site checking for these two facilities. The "ptoc_ken" distribution group will be notified in the event that file uploads are suspended at either CFJ or ESJ. 06/15/2004 16:02 Darren This is a test message sent from the ‘legacy’ web interface. It should be deposited in the top-level directory of the CFJ Events forum. 06/02/2004 14:16 PTOC_Bot 6/1/04 at 14:30 hrs marks the end of pittag detection activities for this year. The facility has been dry since 5/21 as posted in a previous entry. The data collection platform and transceivers will remain on, collecting data and submitting files as per "End of Season" SOP but will not be actively monitored on a regular basis. 06/01/2004 10:31 Dave Site-checking for file uploads was discontinued on June 1. 05/29/2004 08:34 Darren PSMFC is aware that this site has sent files since Thursday evening. The site has been shut down by the Cle Elum Hatchery and the volitional creek has been dry since 5-21-04. PSMFC is scheduled to be at all three acclamation sites during the next week for season ending work. This problem will be addressed at that time. 05/26/2004 16:38 Dave I updated the ptagis3.obs_site_dates table to reflect the cessation of fish activity at this site on May 21. 05/26/2004 15:54 Dchase I spoke with Charlie Strom today and confirmed the dates at which the creek's were dry at each site. As of 5-21-04 ESJ and CFJ were dry. JCJ will not be dry until 6-1-04. Also the power will be removed at JCJ on 6-3-04. PSMFC will have someone on site prior to the power being shut down so that we can grab files and do a controlled shut down of the Data Collection Platform as well as the transceivers, this is not standard protocol for PSMFC but this facility does not have all year round. The Hatchery does give us ample amounts of time, from the time the facility has powered supplied and regulated to the time at which fish are delivered to the ponds, to setup the Data Collection Platform and transceivers. 05/17/2004 09:11 Dchase This message was received from Charlie Strom from the Cle Elum Hatchery on Friday. All fish at the three acclimation sites have been pushed out of raceways. Water is left running at sites so fish do not get stranded. Clean up of sites will start with Jack Creek and after pump test at Easton and Clark Flat are completed those sites will be cleaned and shut down for the year. PSMFC will schedule maintenance for the upcoming shutdown. 05/07/2004 16:05 Scott_Li GMC was performed today and no problems to report. Stick tested all monitors , results below. CFJ A1 10 of 10 A2 10 of 10 B1 10 of 10 B2 10 of 10 Per site personel, the remaining fish at all the Acc. ponds will be crowded out sometime next week, I will be at the sites again on tuesday and will follow up with exact dates and times this occurs.. 05/05/2004 09:57 Darren I spoke with Charlie Strom today (5-5-04) and he informed me that all fish will be forced out on next friday (5-14-04) so that the facilities can perform pump test and clean up prior to the expiration of their water permits, which expire on 6-1-04. If any of this schedule changes Charlie will inform the Kennewick office. 04/29/2004 19:44 Alan The transceivers were tuned 4/29/2004. Sticks could not be thrown as they were behind locked doors. 04/13/2004 09:11 Alan A GMC was performed 4/8/2004. All transceivers were tuned. The monitors were stick tested with 10 sticks each, all sticks were seen by all monitors. No problems found. 03/26/2004 10:21 Darren Both sites were visited yesterday for GMC's. All the transceivers were checked and tuned and sticks were passed through the monitors with 100% detection. The schedule is to pull one board every two weeks. We will be informed if there is any change to this schedule. 02/23/2004 08:20 Scott_Li -------- Original Message -------- Subject: CFJ,ESJ, and JCJ Date: Fri, 20 Feb 2004 08:25:45 -0800 From: Darren Chase To: Don Warf , Alan Brower , scott livingston , Troy Humphrey Guys, FYI - The acc ponds will be fully populated by the end of this week. The totals, according to Jason Rau, are 2200 PITtag fish per raceway and there are 6 raceways per site. Thus there are 13,200 total PITtags per site. The names of the onsite personnel are as follows: David - ESJ, Dwayne - CFJ, and Terrance - JCJ. I also spoke with Charlie about Troy and Alan getting their keys and we will setup a convenient time during the season to pick those up at the hatchery. I will be posting the totals for each site to the event log. Thanks, D.Chase . 02/16/2004 09:14 D._Chase On Friday I visited all three sites to replace the rocketport cards on the Data Collection Platforms. I was able to build and submit all time gap files from PC2. Only sites CFJ and ESJ currently have fish in each raceway. JCJ will not have fish until sometime during the week of 2-16-04. I have all the time gap files on disk which I will give to Alan on Tuesday when I am back in the office. 01/24/2004 10:21 Alan I PCA'd into PC1 and found the dialer waiting for a reconnect/cancel. I clicked cancel and manually uploaded the missing files to PTAGIS. 01/23/2004 15:06 Dave I enabled site checking at 1500h today. 01/23/2004 13:44 Alan In preparation for the 2004 season the transceivers have been tuned and the monitors have been stick tested: A1 - 16 of 16 A2 - 16 of 16 B1 - 15 of 15 B2 - 15 of 15 The 2003 files were archived on each PC in c:\program files\PTAGIS\MiniMon\2003 Data. The buffers were cleared on all 4 transceivers. The clocks are set to within 1 second of atomic time on both PCs. Fish screens will be pulled on March 15 as per site personel. No other problems found. 01/15/2004 08:46 Darren_C I spoke with Charlie Strom from the Cle Elum hatchery and he stated that fish will be delivered to Clark Flat today and tomorrow and finish up next week. They will have all six ponds active this year. They are also scheduled to deliver fish to Easton Next Wed., Thurs., and Friday again all six ponds will be active. 12/30/2003 22:59 Darren Both sites Data Collection Platforms and transceivers have been powered up and will be visited during the next week. This will be done to setup the DCP and the transceivers for the upcoming 2004 season. They are sending files into Portland at the standard 8 files per day. 01/01/2004 12:12 Dave Initialized new event log for 2004. 2003 event log has been archived. ####End of Event Log for CFJ###
