Date Time Who What ---------- ----- -------- ----------------------------------------------- 07/14/2011 11:41 Rick Interrogation event log for the 2011 Biddle's Pond Acclimation Site (BDP) release Location code: BDP Installation of the PIT tag interrogation system for the Biddle's Pond began on April 14, 2011. A total of three readers were utilized for a period of 25 days. The upper PIT tag detection system (.A0) was installed near the outlet of the Lower Pond, five feet below the foot bridge and was deployed at 21:21 pm. A total of six files were downloaded. The second detection system (.B0) was approximately 10 meters downstream from the first antenna. A total of seven files were downloaded. A third detection system (.C0) was placed 10 meters downstream from the second system. A total of six files were downloaded. All 3 antennas were 24 inches wide with Vexar frames spanning from the antennas to the bank for structural support and to direct migrating fish. The uppermost PIT tag detection system (.A0) began functioning on April 14, 2011 at 21:21 and continued with minor problems until May 8, 2011, at 10:15 when it was deemed that the pond was void of juvenile Spring Chinook. PIT tag detection system (.B0) was deployed on April 14, 2011 at 21:48 and was taken out on 8 May, 2011 at 10:35 am. PIT tag detection system (.C0) was deployed on April 14, 2011 at 21:51 and was taken out on 8 May, 2011 at 10:38 am. On the morning of May 3, 2011, antenna (.B0) and (.C0) were powered off due to unknown reasons. The power supply and readers were both replaced. This resulted in zero tags recorded between 14:51 hrs on April 26, 2011 and 12:10 hrs on May 3, 2011 for antenna (.B0), and between 14:56 hrs on April 26, 2011 and 12:11 hrs on May 3, 2011 for antenna (.C0). 07/13/2011 10:00 Nicole Initial entry for new Biddle Acclimation Pond interrogation site - BDP.
