EVENT LOG FOR SITE BDP The first line of each entry contains a date/time stamp & who is reporting. The most recent entry is listed first. Date Time Who ---------- ----- -------- 7/21/2011 16:27 Rick The Biddle Pond acclimation site was utilized for juvenile spring Chinook acclimation between March 26 and June 3, 2010. The outlet of the pond is located at 48.48820 N, -120. 248258 W. Two detection systems were installed, in series, within the outlet of the pond. The upper location (01) was installed on March 26 at 12:00, approximately 10 meters downstream from the acclimation pond, and taken out on June 3 at 13:37. The lower system (02) was installed approximately 10 meters downstream from 01 and was deployed on April 15 at 09:00 and taken out on June 3 at 13:32. Fish (n = 25,591) were transferred from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, Methow hatchery on March 26 for short-term acclimation, of which 9,987 were PIT tagged. A volitional release was initiated on April 19 and concluded on June 3, when final observations (snorkel surveys) determined that all fish had exited the site and no new tags were detected for a period of 5 days. There were no interruptions to the system throughout the acclimation period. Early detections prior to the release were presumed to be escapees and net adjustments were made immediately after detections were noticed. Although there were two PIT tag detection systems in place at the outfall of the pond, the high number of PIT tags integrated within the population combined with a rapid outmigration contributed to a significantly lower than expected pooled detection rate. 01/01/2010 00:00 PTOC_Bot Annual log file initiation for BVP #### End of Event Log for BVP ###
