EVENT LOG FOR SITE AFC Most recent activity to be listed first. First line of each entry lists date, time and who is reporting. Subsequent lines of each entry aligned under Time column. Do not use tabs, only spaces. Date Time Who What ---------- ----- -------- ----------------------------------------------- 12/05/2011 11:52 Reid AFC was hooked up to a modem on 8/20/11. Data is now uploaded daily to PTAGIS. 08/24/2011 11:21 Reid Even though there are data gaps in the submitted files for AFC between 1/1/2011 and 8/13/2011, the sites were operating continuously, 24 hours a day. The gaps are from mistakes in the uploading process. 08/15/2011 08:08 Reid The power line to the MUX was down for a couple days. The batteries lasted long enough to keep the MUX powered and detecting until the line was fixed on 8/13/2011. 07/29/2011 13:01 Reid Site Operations Normal 07/17/2011 11:20 Reid Antenna 6 is covering nearly 100% of the flow from the South Fork of Asotin Site Operations Normal 07/04/2011 20:35 Reid The South Fork is about 95% covered by antenna 6 Site Operations Normal 06/19/2011 10:00 Reid Water is still high but dropping. Antenna 6 is covering 90% of the South Fork wetted width. 05/23/2011 20:38 Reid 05/23/2011 10:30 Camp Water is still high. Antenna 6 is currently covering about 50% of the wetted width of the South Fork. The Thalwag is still over the antenna. All antennas are working. 05/16/2011 18:11 Reid Date Time Who ---------- ----- -------- 05/16/2011 16:45 Camp The water appears to be slowly climbing after a large spike over the 14th and 15th. It is ~480cfs just below the confluence of the North Fork and South Fork according to the USGS gauge. Antenna 6 is currently covering 60% of the wetted width of the South Fork. However, the thalwag is still over the antenna. All Antennas are working. 05/11/2011 13:20 Camp Water is high. Site operations normal 05/04/2011 13:15 Camp Site Operations Normal 04/23/2011 12:40 Camp Water has dropped significantly from the high water event. Site operations normal 04/10/2011 13:50 Camp Water levels have dropped, but are still high. Site operations normal 04/03/2011 09:20 Camp Water levels are very high. I measured ~65cfs on the South Fork (antenna 6). Water was going around antenna 6, but with very little flow. I removed debris from around the antenna and the flow returned to being entirely over antenna 6. 03/27/2011 12:20 Camp Site operations normal 03/21/2011 11:45 Camp Site operations normal 03/13/2011 10:40 Camp Noise on antenna 4 was high so antenna 4 was manually tuned. Otherwise site operations normal 03/03/2011 14:30 Camp Noise was high on antennas 4 and 5 so all antennas were manually tuned. Otherwise site operations normal 02/21/2011 09:50 Camp Site Operations Normal 02/10/2011 11:30 Camp Fish still on Antenna 1. Possibly a shed tag or mort, but I can't find the tag around the antenna. Otherwise site operations normal 02/02/2011 12:00 Camp Starting firing and storing test tags at each antenna every six hours. Test Tag ID: 3E7.0000001D00 Noise was high on all antennas so all antenns were manually tuned Fish was hanging over antenna 1 There is an ice dam over Antenna 6, but the antenna appears to be operating normally 01/20/2011 11:20 Camp Noise on all antennas was high so all antennas were manually tuned Otherwise site operations normal 01/13/2011 13:00 Camp Site Operations Normal 01/04/2011 10:53 Camp There was a fish hanging over Antenna 1 Otherwise Site Operations Normal 04/05/2011 15:11 Nicole Initial entry for the new AFC (Asotin Creek at the North/South Fork Junction ISA) SRSRB site. Steve Martin (steve@snakeriverboard.org) is the Site Data Steward; Steve Bennett (Bennett.ecological@gmail.com) is the Technical POC. ####End of Event Log for AFC###
