Biomark BIO.C.01V1 model GPT12
These tags have been bought directly from Biomark in 2015 and are already in use in the Columbia Basin. They are implanted in white sturgeon and used in a mark recapture study to evaluate abundance, growth, life history parameters and population dynamics. These tags are primarily scanned after being implanted and one at a time using a Biomark PIT reader.
These tags are already in use by the White Sturgeon Management Program in the Columbia Basin. I am unaware of the testing that these tags go through but in the future we can be sure to follow guidelines listed in the PIT Tag selection guide if necessary.
