    Hi there,

I am wondering what the field "transceiver reads" means in the advanced reporting, adult detection query. I assumed it meant the number of times that particular antenna picked up that fish, but that doesn't make sense because you can have a line with transceiver reads = 20, (so the fish would have to be around that antenna for at least 20 seconds), but the lines above and below show that the fish was at different antenna a couple seconds before, and a couple after.

For example I see data like this (all for a single tag/fish):
    time            antenna       transceiver reads
    12:00:00        02                1
    12:00:02         04                20
    12:00:03         04                38
    12:00:10         08                10

    Please advise.

    Thanks very much,
    Andrew

Tags can be (and regularly are) detected multiple times within a second by a single antenna. PTAGIS aggregates those multiple detections up to one record per second (per file). The Transceiver Reads metric is the sum of the hits recorded by that antenna for that tag.
